Stairs

The second floor trim is nearly complete, they just have to tie the stair skirt into the baseboard near the top. The painters have applied a first coat of paint on the trim and will likely be back to do a second coat next week. I think they will also put the final coat on the walls which will give the flooring guy full rein of the second floor (although I do recall the builder wanting to also get the kitchen floor in so they can install the cabinets - we’ll see).

On the first floor they’re getting ready to assemble all the trim and install this coming week. They completed half-a-flight of stairs too.

Vanities Installed

The vanities have been installed and the flooring has been delivered! The painters have returned and will be starting on the second floor trim. Progress continues on the first floor trim - most of the individual pieces have been cut and are being prepared for installation.

The first 2 photos are of the blueberries we planted over the weekend. The first photo is from Monday - a day after planting, and the second photo is from today - after 2 days of rain. Tomorrow through this weekend they should really perk up when the sun comes out.

Oh... and even though we don’t have “occupancy” the local birds have decided to move in Winking

2nd Floor Cove & Baseboard

The second floor trim is nearly complete. The cove moulding has been installed from the stair landing down the hallway to the master bedroom. All that remains is the baseboard in the master and rear bedroom.

Outside the propane tank and gas line has been inspected and backfilled. Mike is also in the process of finalizing the lawn/yard to its finish grade

Looking snazzy...

2nd Floor Trim

The 2nd floor trim is coming along now. All the doors and windows are mostly complete including the around the closet doors.

Interior

While it appears that nothing major was completed one looks closer and notices that all the headers have been assembled and most (if not all) the moulding that goes around all the doors and windows has been cut to size. So, when Monday arrives it’s off to races as you can grab your material and start hanging.

They did hang the Guest room closet doors - earlier in the week they had only framed out the doors.

Just a few photos...

Interior & Propane

The propane tank was finally installed today - yippee! There was a minor change in the pipe routing but it was easily fixed. A mockup of the interior trim around the doors plus the baseboard was also ready for our approval - it looks fantastic! He also laid out the trim around the window for review. Oh and they also put the cement board down on the bathroom floors.

Lot’s of saw dust and photos...

Interior Doors Hung

The interior doors have almost been all hung (only the upstairs closets remain). The trim work will begin in earnest this week as well as further work outside; seeding the septic field, propane tank delivery, yard grading, and driveway gravel/grading.

Interior Doors

The interior doors were delivered and it also looks like the finish carpenters have arrived with their gear. Photos have captions describing the door location.

Bath Vanities Delivered

The master and guest vanities were delivered Friday. Saturday we went over to inspect them for damage. No damage, but some slight color variations that we’ll investigate with the manufacture.
