Friday night we made pasta to fuel our moving day on Saturday. On Saturday we made 4 trips to the house and we programmed our garage doors.

I also re-took the kitchen photos and added some more from yesterday’s moving excitement.

The upper cabinets are now installed as well as the wooden cap for the half-wall. Several of the photos are grossly out-of-focus - I’ll take a fresh round tomorrow and re-upload (updated the photos on 5/28).

We also started moving boxes and will be able to move Sat & Sun of this weekend, Monday it’s suppose to rain.

And... we have an official move date of June 11!!!!!

The kitchen cabinets were delivered on Monday and we were able to run over after dinner to take a few pre-unpacking photos. Also on Monday the modem and wifi router were installed.

Today, Wednesday we stopped by to see a completed outdoor railing to the basement. Also finished are the bases of the front porch columns and the end caps to the beams which make them appear real - which they are of course

Next up... the kitchen cabinets are getting installed. We checked out the special drawers for spices and trash as well as a small cabinet for trays next to the stove... oooo and a lazy Linda, errr, i mean Susan (gesh, I feel bad for Susan).

We are officially on the homestretch (no pun intended). We went to the house almost every night this week but had almost zero-time to upload photos - something called work kept getting in the way. Here’s a summary of the week:
* Floors are complete.
* First floor has two coats of finish.
* Second floor has one coat.
* Front steps are complete.
* Side steps to basement are complete.
* Garage doors open and exterior lights installed.
* Mudroom & power room tile complete.
* HVAC is running and kept the house cool earlier in the week.
* Water filtration installed and operational
* Smoke/CO detectors installed.
* Recessed fixtures installed.

This week the cabinets will be installed and the granite templates measured.

The Bryant compressor arrived today and was installed (it’s not operational yet). The electrician’s installed outlets and switches as well as the garage door openers. The front steps are starting to take shape and the fireplace is framed out. Linda tried out the front door.... And of course flooring continues.

Today I chatted briefly with one of the flooring guys working in the living room. The master bedroom is complete and the front bedroom is almost done.

Also noticed that most of the exterior door handles have been installed.

The flooring installation continues. We stopped by Tuesday evening and the kitchen was about half-way done. Tonight, Thursday, the kitchen floor is complete. Also, most of the trim work is complete including the stairs to the basement.

Flooring begins! The goal at this time is to get the kitchen floor installed so that they can get the cabinets installed. At the same they are also starting to lay floor upstairs. Trim work continues as well with the first almost finished. The first photo is of the recently loaned septic field.

On Monday night we delivered the tile for the Master and Guest bathrooms. At that time the second floor trim was nearly complete. Today, Friday, we met Mike in the morning and returned in the evening to completed stairs and most of the trim on the first floor. Oh and now we have a locking garage door - no more neighbors just peaking around the house - especially those ones from Missouri

Also Mike had the entire yard graded out today but I didn’t take any photos since it was pouring rain.
